The Twinfire Beam is a devastating Energy weapon that fires beams in quick succession. It is restricted to A.X.I.S. Hulls.
It fires two solid yellow beams at a time with relatively short charge and reload.
The Heavy Twinfire Beam is a powerful version of the Twinfire Beam, with improved damage and mass efficiency.
The Xeno Twinfire Beam is an advanced version of the Twinfire Beam that has built-in range increase and deals Alien Damage, taking on a green coloration.
Strategy and Setup
Twinfire Beams deal massive damage that is both undodgeable and unblockable, enabling your ships to reliably destroy targeted ships.
The Xeno version does not require range extenders; regardless, most people equip Harmonic Xeno Beam Capacitors to boost their damage output.
Twinfire Beams have low range even with Beam Capacitors equipped; they are not recommended on battleships designed for PvP as they can be easily outranged by those with Eclipse Drivers. They are best used on cutters designed to close the distance and open fire as soon as possible.
Twinfire Beams receive less benefit from Beam Capacitor-type specials compared to Rupture Beams because they have a shorter charge time.
