The Xeno Siege Casing is an advanced variant of Siege Casing developed by the Xeno Division, modified to affect Alien Weapons instead. It was first available in Alien Decimation.
Strategy and Setup
Being an adapted version of the Siege Casing for Alien weapons, it is overall much better then the normal version. It has increased module damage, health, and projectile resistance which makes it even better suited more sniping bases. Along with this, its weight does not change either making it easier to equip on a hull.
Unlike the normal version and overall Xeno specials in general, it is not specific to a weapon as giving it to other Alien weapons will still make the special have its uses as its bonuses are not tailored to a specific drawback on a weapon unlike the other alien specials. This drastically gives it more viability in battles.
However, just like Siege Casing, Sniping is rarely as used as before as many simply blitz in which usually results in a faster and easier win. It also adds repair time which could add around 80m to a fleet if one uses level II on 4 destroyers, this however isn't as big as a turnoff as repair times are guaranteed in high level combat.
It also is for the Exterminator Destroyer making it useless without the hull.
- This is the first Xeno Projectile Weapon Special.
- Players that don't realize the Xeno Shatter Driver has fast projectile speed already often complain about why the special doesn't give any, when technically it doesn't even need it.
- The Xeno Siege Casing offers the highest projectile resistance in the game.
