General[]

The Volatile Fuel boosts Explosive weapons by increasing their speed and area of effect. It is limited to battleships.

Strategy and Setup[]

Advantages[]

Volatile Fuel allows your weapons to create the largest of explosions, often damaging scores of enemy hulls and modules at once.

Volatile Fuel vastly improves the accuracy of Explosive weapons, similar to the function of Iridium Magnets on Kinetic weapons. At level III, combined with the boosted AoE, NET Torpedoes are almost impossible to miss because they explode at the target's previous location.

Disadvantages[]

While powerful, Volatile Fuel is extremely heavy and takes up a lot of your available mass, limiting the maximum damage your battleships can deal. As a result, most people only use level I-II on their ships.

Trivia[]

  • Volatile Fuel has the greatest linear AoE increase of all weapon boosts in the game.
