Strategy and Setup
Spectral Shells have excellent shield energy and mass efficiency, even greater than that of the Harmonic Exophase Shield. They have a very low repair to health ratio unlike earlier shields and are therefore viable on low-repair ships.
Spectral Shells are unable to recharge unlike the Diffuser Shield, meaning that the maximum shield energy is somewhat limited.
Spectral Shells have negative resistance to other damage types, making them vulnerable against non-Energy damage, especially Alien and Plasma damage, which are extremely common in Alien Event Targets.
- Hulls with active Spectral Shells glow yellow, similar to the Spectral Shield.
