This is one of the few Alien weapons that do not possess shield bypass. However, it makes up for it by dealing potentially extreme damage to grouped ships through bouncing.
The Rebound Ray is only used by Reaper Harvesters: the singleplayer version carries two of them while the co-op version carries three. They target different player ships at long range and often further damage other ships with their chain ability.
Dodging the Rebound Ray is out of the question as it homes in on its targets, much like the Reverb Ray.
To minimize the damage, spread your ships as far apart as possible around the Harvester. This prevents the Rebound Ray from bouncing to ships other than the target.
Energy/metaphase shielding and resistance also help to reduce the damage taken.
