General
Phased Projectiles are a booster for Projectile weapons. They are the counterpart of Phased Munitions for base weapons. They increase the shield bypass of the projectile weapons. They were once heavily used but nowadays are rare to see.
Strategy and Setup:
Advantages:
Phased Projectiles once was an extremely important projectile as shielding was much more important back then. But nowadays, its use is far more limited back then as high armor is the newest trend of Vega Conflict.
Its use can however still be used, when paired with Iridium Magnets and hopefully a thruster marked up Frigates with Gladius Driver or Infernal Wave Driver can still do serious damage to oncoming fleets.
Disadvantages:
However, like the above mentioned stated shield bypass is barely threatening anymore as the introduction of super weapons like the Xeno type weapons and the massive use of armor has almost made shields worthless. Due to this, in high level PvP once should never use this special.
Since projectiles need Iridium Magnets to hit enemies and since most ships usually don't have 3 special slots, a thruster is usually chosen over of the special due to the importance of speed.
Setup:
Frigates are one of the few hulls (When marked up) that can actually equip 3 specials. Due to this, kiting with weapons such as Infernal Wave Driver along with Iridium Magnets and Phased Projectiles can be effective.
Other than that, the Tempest Driver can be used with this special without Magnets due to its shotgun play style. But that weapon is almost never used.

- Phased Projectiles was once very popular when paired with Iridium Magnets on cruisers, these ships would usually destroy enemies with their shields still up.
- After the Xeno Division was introduced this special became useless in High level PvP.
