The Phase Shifter field is used by specific carriers in combat, it amplifies friendly ships within its area of effect with a +25% shield bypass to all weapons, increasing the damage dealt directly to armor. Carriers cannot be amplified by this field.
Apart from player-owned Valkyrie Carriers, the Dominion Carriers found in Demon Corps Harasser fleets also have the Phase Shifter field.
