NET Torpedo Turret I, II, and III, Respectively

General

The NET Torpedo Turret is an event Explosive weapon. It is available in the event Backlash. It serves as the base counterpart of the NET Torpedo. They fire two large red orbs, with a slow projectile speed at their targets with moderate spread. They are rather rare given that they have only been released a few times.

Strategy

NET torpedo turrets are primarily used to impair enemy ship's movement. They inflict minimal damage. In comparison to the Arrestor beam turret. They possess more range and do not require focus apertures to engage decoy cruisers from destroyer fleets. They have an explosive radius and can stasis multiple ships however, their stasis effect isn't as strong as Arrestor beam turret.

Their spread rather decreases their accuracy and often miss their targets. But when their targets are under the stasis effect, it has greatly reduced strafe, rotation and forward speed, rendering them more vulnerable to incoming fire, particularly projectile turrets as they are able to land their shells on target when it is moving more slowly.

NET torpedo turrets can blunt blitz attackers and delay them, only if they're travelling in a tight group. Unfortunately, it does have a minimum range arc and are helpless at short ranges, whereas at least Arrestor beam turrets can keep a single target pinned down no matter how close they are to combat module itself. NET torpedo still overall, are not ideal for defending blitz attacks at all, another SICO missile turret is far more effective.
