General[]

The Energy, Explosive, Kinetic, Alien and Plasma Stasis Resistors protect your ships from Stasis Dealing effects in addition to the corresponding damage types. It is restricted to Altairian Hulls.

Strategy and Setup[]

Advantages[]

Stasis Resistors are a direct counter to the variants of Arrestor Beam and NET Torpedo, as well as Kinetic weapons that are boosted by Electric Rails. By decreasing the extent to which your ships are slowed, you stand a better chance of catching up to enemy ships and subsequently destroying them.

This resistor is best used on short-range ships such as cruisers and cutters because they are most vulnerable to kiting tactics, though the latter may already have enough stasis resistance even without resistors at higher upgrade levels. Long-range ships such as destroyers and carriers may also equip this resistor in a base attack to avoid being immobilized by Arrestor Beam Turrets and the like.

The Alien and Plasma variants enable your ships to unprecedentedly achieve greater resistance against Alien and Plasma damage types.

Disadvantages[]

Taking only damage resistance into consideration, the mass efficiency of Stasis Resistors is worse than that of Basic Ship Resistors. Thus, it is ill-advised to equip this resistor if your ships are not expected to fight enemies with Stasis weapons.

Note that Stasis Resistors take up more mass than the other Altairian resistors and are thus less mass-efficient.

The Plasma variant is specifically geared towards PvE because players cannot obtain Plasma weapons. Do not use this in a PvP build.
