The Heavy Seeker Missile is an advanced variant of the explosive weapon designed by the Xeno Division, boasting increased DPS over its normal counterpart. It was first made available in Alien Decimation.
Like its normal counterpart it fires explosive missiles extremely quickly, comparable to the Gatling Ray in speed. It is made to defeat high level swarms due to the firing speed and AoE of this weapon.
Strategy and Setup
Like the normal variant, its main purpose is its amazing squadron efficiency. It has an increased DPS allowing it to even take on Alien swarms with relative ease, thus it is a hard counter to the Dominion Carrier and Alien Hives aswell.
The Heavy Seeker is almost made for the Suppressor. The Suppressors innate bonus to squadrons and dual targeting make it able to be an extremely effective counter to Dominion's in high level PvP.
Though, even with increased DPS, just like the normal version it is extremely weak when compared to some other Xeno Division Ship Weapons. Thus, it is still not recommended for other Xeno Division Hulls for PvP.
Even worse, it is an expensive reusable item meaning the amount you have is restricted to how many Heavy Seeker Missile credits you have. Because of this it is rare to see in combat as it is also easily replaced by the Xeno Seeker Missile.
It is also Xeno Division Hulls only severely restricting the use of this weapon.
If you only have the normal and heavy version, try to put 5 or 4 on a Suppressor and possibly some Antimatter Warheads in it aswell. A engine and maximum armor is then recommended for the rest of the mass.
Try to have 1 Seeker Suppressor in a fleet to deal against swarms due to its over use in PvP and now PvE with the Alien bases and fleets receiving much more powerful swarms.
- The Heavy Seeker Missile has the lowest DPS boost for a Heavy variant being only +31 DPS, when comparing Seeker III and H Seeker I
- Like the Seeker, it is the second type of Gatling weapon, the first the being the Gatling Ray and its variants.
