The Heavy Cluster Missile is an enhanced Cluster Missile with significantly more firepower.
Strategy and Setup
Similar to normal Cluster Missiles, this weapon is particularly effective against heavily-armored enemies and squadrons, almost matching the Xeno Disintegrator Cannon's DPS. It is also more mass efficient.
Its minimum range is impossible to exploit and can be neglected.
Heavy Cluster Missiles are just as easily kited and cannot hit moving targets reliably, sharing the same downfalls as the regular version.
They have a small AoE that is useless unless boosted by Overcharged Warheads or other similar specials.
- The Heavy Cluster Missile is the first Heavy ship weapon.
- Despite its description, this weapon does not provide more AoE.
- The Heavy Cluster Missile originally fired like the Hydra Missile, albeit with a quicker firing rate; it now fires a flurry of missiles since the April 2017 update. Its spread was also halved to the present value due to its inaccuracy.
