The Frenzied Scatter Missile is an Explosive weapon that was available in the Alien Mobilization event. The frenzied Scatter missile is a direct upgrade over the Scatter missiles and fires a barrage of missiles before reloading. The frenzied Scatter missile can be used for both base attacks and fleet vs. fleet combat because of its high damage output

Strategy and Setup


The frenzied Scatter missile has a impressive damage that surpasses even the SICO missile, making it brutal with blister rounds or Spectral warheads. It has extremely high area of effect range and higher projectile speed, greatly enhancing its ability in destroying groups of ships.

In comparison, the SICO missile has less spread, speed and damage - making the Frenzied Scatter missile more accurate and powerful at short ranges. It has no minimum range and performs excellent in point blank combat.

Ideal for cutters, cruisers and frigates, because of its firing arc, it makes it difficult to avoid their heavy fire. It is reliable in delivering heavy damage to enemy ships.


The frenzied Scatter missile is very heavy, heavier than SICO missile III, which is already a heavy weapon to be equipping on high level cruisers. The extra 200 tonnes becomes extremely difficult when you equip weapon boosters. Players who choose frenzied Scatter missiles III over SICO missiles are really only pursuing the lack of minimum range and the splash damage, as it only offers a mere 3 damage per second increase.

The Alien Mobilization, in which Frenzied Scatter missile was released, had an unpredictable chance of obtaining this weapon, and even then you would often get a low level. In contrast to blueprints, you only get a single frenzied Scatter missile at a time; with blueprints, you can equip the blueprint weapon on as many ships as you like.

The frenzied Scatter missile also has a range lower than that of the SICO missile, making it slighter harder to get in range to attack your enemies.

More recently, the Frenzied Scatter missile has been released as a possible prize during Civil Wars.


  • The frenzied Scatter missile is thought to be originally a Civil War prize before KIXEYE put the frenzied Scatter missile and more into the first ever Alien Mobilization after running out of ideas for it.
  • The scatter missile has a unique texture for its missile, thus it is sometimes confused with SICO missile.
  • Aside from the increase in projectile speed and AOE radius, the Frenzied Scatter missiles are effectively scatter missiles VI, VII, and VIII.
