The Machete Destroyer is a Tier 5 hull with extra defensive capability in the form of armor slots and health bonuses.
As a destroyer, this ship has modest firepower but very long range, taking out opponents from afar.

The Machete Destroyer has extra armor slots to offset the lack of shields. Skirmish Armor is recommended for fleet combat, while Deflector Armor and Kinetic Resistors are the best choice for base sniping.
It can equip the Unstable Reactor to surprise cutters and frigates that accidentally get too close.
Disadvantages[]
The Machete Destroyer does not have any shields until Mk III. Considering that shields have more shield energy than armor with health, this actually makes the Machete Destroyer less durable than the Damocles Destroyer. Moreover, this forces the Machete Destroyer to sustain more damage in each battle, being unable to benefit from shield regeneration out of combat.
Its limited weaponry takes longer to eliminate enemy ships and modules, giving more time for the enemy to fire back at you which results in more repair time.
