General[]

The Deflector Field is the basic Kinetic-resisting base shield.

Strategy and Setup[]

Advantages[]

Deflector Fields perform best against sniper fleets: most destroyers use Kinetic-type weapons to achieve long range.

This shield is best used on long-range Combat Modules since they tend to be targeted first by snipers as the major threat.

Disadvantages[]

Deflector Fields lack shield energy compared to the Spectral Field and Shockwave Field, making them especially vulnerable to carrier rimming, a tactic that uses squadrons to take out modules from afar. They are also least effective against Alien Damage which cannot be resisted by the three basic fields.

Trivia[]

  • Modules with active Deflector Fields are encased in a blue dome, which occasionally pulses light-blue but is hardly noticeable.
