General

The Exodus Cruiser is a low level, tier two Miner Rebellion hull. Stronger in comparison to the Genesis cruiser, they have a emphasis on being a front line, low to mid range warship with relatively good armor and mass.

They are particularly suited for medium and close range combat. They are mostly used among low level players, who replace their Genesis cruisers with Exodus cruisers.

Strategy

Exodus cruisers have an emphasis on survival in combat. They have more armor slots than other ships in its tier. They can be marginally effective warships in short and medium range skirmishes in FvF.

Advantages:

Exodus cruisers have a good balance of armor and firepower. With three armor slots and three weapon slots, a decent amount of mass, they are capable brawlers in low level combat.

They can easily outmatch beginner level fleets and tier one ships such as Longbow destroyers and Rancor battleships.

Exodus cruisers can be upgraded to MK III. Making them more effective at destroying frigates as well as increasing their mass and armor.

Disadvantages:

Exodus cruisers are not oriented for long range combat. Ships that are faster with more range can attack Exodus cruisers outside of their weapon range and continue to manoeuvre outside their range.

Exodus cruisers also have significantly less mass than other Venom battleships, despite being a tier II ship. Many mid level players eventually prefer using Venom battleships in their fights as they continue to progress up the technology tree and upgrade their fleet bay.

Exodus cruisers have extremely limited use. It is recommended that you completely skip this hull if you haven't already built one. Your time is better used on ships like the Venom Battleship.

Setup

In FvF, weapons such as HEX missiles and Disruptor rays are effective. Hydra missiles, SICO missile and Thermal beams are even more potent. Exodus cruisers should avoid engaging an entire fleet of Venom battleships due to their sheer firepower.

There are variants of builds that are more specialized in fighting VEGA fleets, such as equipping rear thrusters with Gladius drivers or Mass drivers.

Other rarer weapons that can only be obtained in events like Impulse beam, Reverb ray, Aurora ray and Gatling ray are also effective weapons with good firepower to mass efficiency, and unique advantages of their own.

Trivia

  • Exodus cruisers were at one point very popular among players and were considered the strongest ships in FvF battles.
