EX Heavy Talonite Armor I, and II Respectively

Description Edit

The EX Heavy Talonite Armor is an advanced variant of the Talonite Armor developed by the Xeno Division, designed to effectively absorb explosive damage. It was first made available in the sixth Alien Mobilization.

Strategy and Setup Edit

Advantages: Edit

As an Improved version of its predecessor the Shockwave Armor, it offers improved resistances to Explosive damage in addition to more health. The High amount of Resistance allows it to effectively shrug off Explosive damage from all sources, including those from the Manifold Missile as well as the Vector Torpedo.

Disadvantages: Edit

The EX is Xeno Division Hulls only, and compared to the EXAL Heavy Talonite Armor in terms of effectiveness, the EXAL is better because it offers alien resistance in addition to explosive resistance. Comparing which ones to equip on the Punisher Cruiser, the EXAL is a better choice because it can offer a greater deal of protection while not taking up too much mass due to the mass reductions In armor.

They are also limited in number. Unlike blueprints, players cannot equip them limitless on their ships, the number they can equip depends on the amount of EX Heavy Talonite Armor items they have.They are also incredibly hard to get as a mid level player as the Hive fleets are rather hard on higher levels and still do massive damage on lower level fleets with the wrong setup or strategy. Unlike credits, they can be re-used but require a refit time.

Trivia Edit

  • The EX is a reusable credit, while the EXAL is a Blueprint, ironically.
  • The EX stands for Explosive in EX Heavy Talonite Armor
  • Due to both of them offering the same stats, the EX can be thought off as a level IV and V version of the Shockwave Armor.
