Description
The EXAL Tungsten Armor is an advanced variant of the Tungsten Armor developed for the A.X.I.S. Project, designed to effectively absorb alien and explosive damage. It was first made available in Alien Decimation and is designed to be more efficient than its predacessor, the EXAL Heavy Talonite Armor.
Strategy and Setup
Advantages:
Like its predecessor, With inherent resistances to Explosive and Alien Damage, in addition to high amounts of armor, the EXAL Heavy Tungsten Armor allows the ship equipped with it to effectively shrug off shots that would destroy most vessels, especially those from the Xeno Disintegrator Cannon or Xeno Cluster Missile.
As the when marked up Guardian Cruiser has reductions to armor mass, it is a perfect pairing for the EXAL, and the Alien Resistance can reach a maximum of ~70%, which, combined with the Punisher's ability to tank, greatly nullifies the high damage output of the Xeno Disintegrator Cannon or any Alien weapon. The Explosive Resistance also helps to reduce the damage taken in PvP, especially from weapons like the Bombardment Torpedo or the Cluster Missile.
They also are great pairings for Vindicator Cutters and will greatly boost their effectiveness in combat.
It is also a blueprint which means you can infinitely equip them to a hull without running out, unlike the EX Variant.
Disadvantages:
The EXAL, is A.X.I.S Hulls only and thus, no other tier or faction of ship is compatible and thus able to use this armor, limiting the options this armor can offer in battle.
