The Crawler Torpedo is the Alien version of the player Creeper Torpedo. It deploys slow-moving Explosive-type mines which explode with massive AoE. It has a higher fire rate than the regular Creeper Torpedo and always fires 3 shots, 90 degrees away from each other.
It has built-in shield bypass (a characteristic of most Alien weapons), increasing the direct armor damage through shields.
The Crawler Torpedo can be found in Geir's Fortress. Geir's elite Harvester guard is fitted with 2 of this weapon. It deals little damage, but can be an annoyance after you destroy the Harvester as they persist on the battlefield for quite a while.
Co-op Barrage Harvesters each carry 3 of this weapon. Although they deal more damage than the ones mentioned above, they are not much of a threat compared to the other weapons used by the Harvester.
To minimize the damage taken from the Crawler Torpedoes, avoid running your ships into them. They travel so slowly that it is very easy to dodge them. If you must go through them, spread out your ships because this weapon has a lot of AoE.
This weapon mainly counters squadron attacks as it travels slowly, decimating multiple waves of squadrons before reaching max range and exploding.
- The Crawler Torpedo first appeared in Geir's Fortress alongside the Stalker Missile during the Eradication event.
