Charger Swarm I, II, and III Respectively

General Edit

The Charger Swarm is a squadron utilized by the Aliens, and the second to be released. It has the characteristic long flight time of the Alien Squadrons and flanks the enemy like the Ranger Swarm and Spectre Squadron.

They have only been seen used by the Alien Hives in the early stages of their assault on the Miner Rebellion. Ever since Maelstrom, they have not been utilized by the Aliens ever since. They drop from Alien Harvesters and were first released in the Second Alien Decimation.

Strategy and Setup Edit

Advantages: Edit

The Charger Swarm has really high DPS, only rivaled by the Ranger in terms of Firepower. It also has a very long flight time, making it able to deal heavy damage over prolonged periods of time. It also has high health, meaning it is harder to take down as compared to normal Squadrons.

They can serve as a good substitute for rebels who do not have the Ranger and are a decent upgrade over Spectre Squadrons.

At levels I and II, the Charger swarm has higher DPS than the Ranger Swarm.

Disadvantages: Edit

Unfortunately, at level III, the Charger's DPS pales in comparison to the Ranger, meaning that the Ranger is still the best squadron for taking out ships really quickly. Its speed is also slower, meaning that it is more liable to being shot down on their way to their targets.

Though shorter than the Ranger the Charger still has relatively long refitting times, meaning players have to wait a maximum of 12 days if they intend to equip this squadron on their carrier. Also, they are currently only available via drop from Alien Harvesters, which only spawn during Alien Decimation and are thus really hard to obtain. The Chances of getting a Charger from the Harvester are guaranteed, but the chance of getting level 3 is rather low.

Trivia Edit

  • It is unknown why KIXEYE has removed Charger Swarms from Alien Hives
  • The Charger Swarm shares the exact same range with the Bomber Squadron, as all swarms share similarities with their VEGA and Rebel counterparts.
