|“||The Basilisk Cutter has a terrifying reputation. There is no sound in space, but people who have faced this ship can still hear it roaring towards them.||”|
|— In-Game Description|
The Basilisk Cutter is a Tier 5 hull with extra offensive power in the form of weapon slots and mass reductions.
As a cutter, this ship has fair durability and superior forward speed, suitable for rushing into enemy formations.
Strategy and Setup
The Basilisk Cutter has 4 weapon slots, enabling it to achieve higher damage output. It is also fairly tanky, with 3 armor slots, an upgrade from the Komodo Cutter, buying time to catch up to battleships and destroy them. Armored Thrusters grant much-needed armor and provide an excellent forward speed boost for this ship.
As a ship that fights enemies at close range, Infernal Gatling Rays are the best choice among the Infernal weapons. Nova Rays are also regularly used because they are cheap and have firepower approaching that of the Infernal weapons.
Basilisk Cutters are moderately effective in base attacks due to their speed but are significantly less durable than Python Cutters. As a result, Basilisk Cutters do not get much time to dish out damage and are not as preferable.
Likewise, in fleet combat, be sure to have decent range, or else your ships may be taken out before they can get in range to deal damage.
While Basilisk Cutters have superior damage output, a fleet of Python Cutters with Unstable Reactor can severely damage or even outright destroy them with the death explosions if the pilot is not careful enough.

- The forward tip of the hull extends up and downwards as it moves in combat, and retracts into its original position when not in combat.
- The design of the Basilisk Cutter remarkably resembles a Hammerhead Cruiser from Star Wars.
