Aurora Ray Turret I, II, and III Respectively

General

The Aurora ray is an event Energy weapon. It was available in the event Nemesis. It is the turret counterpart of the Aurora ray.

Aurora Ray turret has a high damage output and an even higher damage against shields, dealing extra 25% damage against shields.

Strategy and Setup

Advantages:

The Aurora Ray turret excels at raw damage output in shields and armor and is devastating against ships who happen to get in range. The Aurora ray turret's built in +25% shield damage is its key advantage and is ideal against fleets attacking your base at close ranges.

Disadvantages:

The Aurora ray turret has a high weight making it difficult to balance armor and shields along with focused apertures. The Aurora ray turret will often miss at higher ranges and their energy bolts do not home in on their targets. It overall less mass then the SICO missile turret which out preforms the Aurora Ray turret is almost every way.

While the damage output is relatively high, greater than the Tachyon beam turret in raw damage output, their firepower is not as powerful as SICO missile turrets or Storm driver turrets which also have significantly more range and do not require weapon boosters.

Setup:

However if you do wish to use the Aurora Ray turret a good fitting would be:

Combat Module XI:

Combat Module XII

Combat Module XIII
