The Arc Missile Turret is an explosive type weapon. It is the base turret variant of the Arc missile. It was first available in the Maelstrom event, and is the counterpart of the VSec blueprint weapon, the Arc missile.
Strategy and Setup
The Arc missile turret has a impressive overall damage output. Combined with its spread, explosive radius, and shield bypass it is effective against groups of enemy ships at medium to long range.
The Arc missile turret has a impressive range that outrages the Vector torpedo turret making it a good anti-sniper weapon. It also has a high DPS output for a weapon of its range. It also has a built in shield bypass along with a spread making it deadly for grouped ships due to this. It is overall an effective base turret due to all of this.
However the Arc missile turret has some inadequacies. One of which is that it has slow projectile speed while, it is not particularly easy to dodge due to its spread, there is a long delay between the turret firing and before the damage actually lands on their target. It also weighs quite heavy meaning you will have to sacrifice armor, shields, or specials to be able to equip this weapon on mid level combat modules. This makes it quite rare to see on bases as it also is easily replaced by the Storm driver turret and the SICO missile turret.
- The Arc missile turret was originally gonna be in the event Incursion before being swapped with the unstable reactor.
- The Arc missile turret has less spread then its hull counterpart.
