The Arc Missile Turret is the base counterpart of the Arc Missile.
It fires five missiles in a set formation that have increased shield bypass, similar to the ship version.
Strategy and Setup
Arc Missile Turrets have long range exceeding that of the Vector Torpedo Turret, enabling them to better combat sniper fleets. Their shield bypass ensures that enemies will take lots of direct health damage even with regenerating shields.
Arc Missile Turrets have a set spread that enhances their accuracy at long range, destroyers often find it difficult to dodge all five missiles at once. Equipping Sweep Maximizers will almost guarantee a hit.
Arc Missile Turrets have relatively low damage output due to the fact that it is spread out between the five missiles. That being said, they can be devastating against destroyer line formations where all five missiles hit multiple ships with their AoE, especially when boosted by AM Detonators.
Arc Missile Turrets have a large minimum range, rendering them useless against nearby enemies.
- The Arc Missile Turret was originally going to be in the event Search and Destroy before being swapped with the Unstable Reactor.
- The Arc Missile Turret was significantly buffed from 62/102/175 DPS to 84/123/210 DPS, due to complaints that it was underpowered.
