Event Overview

AlienDecimation

VEGA is transporting experimental alien technology through the sector.

Attack VEGA, Demon Corps and Alien fleets to reveal the Alien Harvester.

Description

Alien Decimation is a recurring event and a very special event as it includes 3 phases throughout the event This event, unlike many other events does not include a base attack, thus intel can only be acquired by farming the fleets. This event is the first (of several) to re-introduce past event Prizes along with introducing new prizes. These are different depending on which Alien Decimation has occurred and which prizes KIXEYE decides to re-release or introduce.

Alien Decimation is a sector-wide event making coordination and teamwork valuable as the sector must kill a certain percentage of the phases threat to move onto the next phase. A bar is shown to tell the sector how much the sector has moved in that phase.

Phase 1 is simply Alien Hives spawning out of Unstable Wormholes similar to the event Alien Mobilization, (lvl 40-55) and a lvl 55 Co-op Variant. Phase 2 will add additional Alien Reapers (lvl 60-78), Barrage Hives (lvl 80-90), and Alien Harvesters (lvl 70-80) which spawn out of the Unstable Wormholes, Phase 1 will still persist in Phase 2. Phase 3 introduces the Barrage Alien Harvester (lvl 90-95). 2 Harvesters (lvl 90-95) will spawn out of each unstable wormhole. There is a 10 minute time limit in which you have to kill the harvesters, Phase 2 will still persist in Phase 3 (Except Barrage Hives are now only (lvl 80-88). Once phase 3 is over, it simply repeats the cycle after a brief downtime. Harvester fleets drop blueprints, a first for a Decimation.

Phases

  • Phase 1: Aliens spawn from levels 40-55 from Unstable Wormholes and travel to wormholes in convoys. These fleets are only Single player variants. The Single player variants contain 2 Alien Hives which are the standard Version 1. However, unlike the Mobilization's 65-70s only possessing the lasers and gatling ray, all levels have it. The goal is to kill a set percentage of value in the hive fleets to aid to the sector completion bar,the more hive fleets killed by the sector, the faster your sector reaches the next phase. There is also a level 55 Co-op target with the only difference being it contains 3 hives. This set percentage is the smallest out of all the phases. These fleets also agro within a 5 level range of itself and are slightly slower then a fleet containing a carrier.

  • Phase 2: Additional alien fleets spawn from levels 60-78 from Unstable Wormholes and travel to wormholes in convoys. The Alien Reaper fleets are similar to Vengeance. The first 4 Alien Reapers will have Ion Gatling and are extremely fast but very weak. The back 6 have Void Beams and are a little slower, these can do serious damage to your hull because they have a 25% shield bypass and stasis resist. Along with it are powerful Barrage Hives levels 80-90 similar to Alien Mobilization they have long range Annihilation Beams , medium range Viper Missile which have a minimum range at around where the Stasis field starts, and Plasma Gatlings, they also project a powerful Stasis Field. They also feature version 1 Alien Harvesters level 70-80 which drop Gold event boxes. Phase 1 fleets will also still be spawning during Phase 2. The goal is to kill a set percentage of value in the hive fleets to aid to the sector completion bar,the more alien fleets killed by the sector, the faster your sector reaches the next phase. This set percentage is the largest out of all the phases. Some fleets also agro within a 5 level range of itself and are slightly slower then a fleet containing a carrier. Co-op harvesters also spawn during phase 2 now as a result of feedback from players on the forums.

  • Phase 3: 2 Barrage Alien Harvesters from levels 90-95 spawn out of each Unstable Wormhole. They are extremely slow and have no agro whatsoever. These harvesters are singleplayer targets and are incredibly difficult. The Alien Harvester in combat is incredibly hard as it contains not only insane weapons like, the Viper Missile (With Min Range), Annihilation Beam (With Min Range), and Photon Gatling but it also has a Stasis Field. Along with this at around 75% HP and every 25% HP down they begin to charge a high range explosion with a 7s warning and a red circle which slightly is shorter then the actually explosion range. This explosion does quite a bit of damage and is incredibly hard to avoid. The Alien Harvester has a time limit of 6 minutes unlike the standard 5 minutes. Phase 2 also persists during this period but the Barrage hives now only go highest at lvl 88. Once defeated they will drop Unknown objects, Blueprints, Crafting Boxes, and Intel (Depends on level of Harvester).

    • Originally the event had 4 phases but this was changed by the third Alien Decimation, due to complaints from the players. If you want to see the original Alien Decimation, click here.
    • To avoid loss of old content we separated the Barrage and the Reaper versions into 2 pages.
  • This is the first sector-wide event.
  • This is the first event to feature the Alien Harvester.
  • This event now only features aliens, as compared to previous Decimations which featured the Demon Corps.
  • The event did not activate for 5 minutes after it started, so Kixeye gave the players an extra hour as well as a 3 hour faster ship repair.
  • Players were upset that co-op was removed, so Kixeye decided to bring back co-op fleets along with with the new solo fleets.
